  • Family Day gatherings prior to opening every new CarMax store bring Associates and their families together in a carnival-like atmosphere that includes fun activities and lots of great food!

Disaster Relief

CarMax Disaster Relief Fund — facts and figures

Since being established in 2005, the CarMax Associate Disaster Relief Fund has granted over $212,680 to more than 241 Associates in need. The fund assists Associates directly affected by a natural disaster—hurricane, earthquake, tornado, or flood—

or dealing with catastrophic emergencies, like house fires or high medical bills due to serious health issues. Associates can receive up to $1,500 from the fund.

Associates and the general public can donate to the CarMax Disaster Relief Fund, and Associate donations are eligible for The CarMax Foundation's Matching Gifts Program.
